College Hunks of Lexington, KY, Owner Marty Vaughn was recently honored as a graduate of the Kentucky Small Business Development Center's "Lexington Minority and Women in Business Training Program," in association with the University of Kentucky.
Showing why the K in "HUNKS" stands for "Knowledgeable," Vaughn said the course was a great way to brush up on such topics as managing finances, human resources, marketing and strategic direction.
According to Vaughn, "It was a great experience! Not only did I get to refresh myself on a range of business courses, but also I got to meet a bunch of other, truly-dedicated entrepreneurs."
Of the approximately 25 entrepreneurs who originally joined the class at the start, Vaughn was one of just 16 who graduated and earned a diploma (pictured below) at the end of the course.
She also exhibited College Hunks' core value of "Building Leaders" by choosing to put forth week after week of hard work -- in addition to the day-to-day workload of running her own business -- in order to better herself professionally.
Congratulations, Marty! Way to set a great example for your fellow HUNKS and HUNKETTES everywhere!
