Top 10 Christmas Movie List
We're just going to jump right into this, but it's worth noting that Christmas "specials" weren't included. This is strictly a list of full-length, feature films (special apology to Charlie Brown, Rudolph, Frosty and the lot).
And the top 10 are...
10. Bad Santa
WARNING: This one is not for the kids. Then again, it's not for most adults either. Still, if you have a great sense of humor and are okay with dialogue that would make a sailor blush, you'll probably agree that this one is hilarious.
9. Miracle on 34th Street
Admittedly, I've only ever seen the 1994 remake. Regardless, this movie is pretty awesome.
8. Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Who doesn't want to visit Whoville for the holidays?
Will Ferrell... 'nuff said!
6. Jingle All the Way
I don't care what anyone says: Sinbad is terrific. Plus, every parent can relate to the epic quest to get your hands on the Turbo Man action figure that all the kids desperately want.
Bill Murray, with his dry, snide humor, is amazing in any movie, but drop him into a modern version of "A Christmas Carol," and you've got pure gold.
4. The Santa Clause
Tim Allen doesn't make a bad movie... ever. Plus, how cool would it be to actually go to the North Pole? I mean come ON!
3. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
"It's a beaut, Clark!" This movie literally made me pee my pants once. I'm not ashamed to admit it.
2. Home Alone
Anyone who doesn't love some Home Alone needs to reassess their life.
1. A Christmas Story
A lot could be said about this movie. All I will say is that each year, I sacrifice sleep, food and gifts in order to watch the marathon. You can question a lot of the picks on this list, but this one is non-negotiable.
Speaking of which, if you want to question these picks, drop a comment in the section below and let us know if we omitted any movies that we shouldn't have or if you think these movies should be in different order.
