Dorm Room Storage Ideas
It’s time to go back to college, which means it’s time to decorate and organize your dorm room! Deciding what to do with your dorm is exciting, but it’s sometimes hard to decide what exactly you want to do with it and where you can store all of your items. We’ve gathered some of our favorite dorm room storage and design ideas to share with you for some inspiration!
Boho Bedroom
Boho is in. Don’t be afraid to mix prints and patterns together to achieve this popular style. Hang up a tapestry to give the plain walls some life. You can also use plastic bins to store shoes and other bulky or unsightly items beneath the bed.
Vintage Suitcase Storage
This cozy dorm room uses old suitcases as a decoration, but they can also be used for storage! These suitcases tie the room together while still having an additional purpose.
Utilize Underbed Space
Dorm rooms are typically small and can sometimes feel cramped, but not if you know how to work it! Set the bed up high so that the space underneath can be utilized for a study area. Even a small space can have a big purpose.
Pop-of-Color
Bright colors help to liven up a drab dorm room. This dorm room uses a pop of color throughout the room. They also installed shelves going up the wall above the desk to add storage. This is a great place to store text books while not in use.
Bookcase Headboard
This book case is used for storage but also doubles as a headboard! And it creates some privacy when you attach a rod to it and the wall.
Twinkle Lighting
Hang up some lights over or around your bed to use when you’re up late studying and your roommate is sleeping.
