Learn why these entrepreneurs from all over the country have chosen our junk hauling franchise as their next great business venture
The first half of 2018 has been a strong one for College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving, as we’ve partnered with entrepreneurs throughout the country to open five new junk hauling franchises.
Our brand is growing because our franchise owners’ sales are growing. Average franchisee revenue has increased 113% since 2013 and reached a new high of $946,319 in 2017, according to our Franchise Disclosure Document.
That’s why it’s no surprise that franchising experts routinely rank us among the top franchise opportunities around. But you don’t get to this level of success without a strong foundation. We only work with the best of the best, and College Hunks franchise owners are dedicated, driven leaders who share our core values.
“We are aggressive when it comes to growth, but we do it the right way,” said College Hunks President and Co-Founder Nick Friedman. “That means finding the right partners, people who are enthusiastic about what we’ve built and believe in our mantra of ‘Move the World.’ These new franchisees live and breathe our values, and clients are going to be blown away by the level of service they receive.”
Meet the newest members of the team, and learn why they chose to open a junk removal business with College Hunks.
Tim Ibraimi of Orland Park, IL
Tim Ibraimi opened his College Hunks franchise in Orland Park, IL, just outside of Chicago, on May 7. Prior to that, he was a Senior System Administrator for Advocate Health Care. Ibraimi decided to enter the world of business ownership in order to make a bigger impact on those around him.
“My goal is to make a difference in the world,” said Ibraimi. “I was given an opportunity to make a change in my life, so I want to do the same for the members of my team and build something bigger than I could have ever imagined.”
Jessica Cockreham and Kasper Norkus of Fort Myers, FL
Jessica Cockreham and Kasper Norkus are already experienced, successful entrepreneurs who operated a successful restaurant delivery service for more than eight years before selling their business to a nationwide brand. For their next move, they set their sights on College Hunks, opening their franchise in Fort Myers, FL, on June 11.
“The ability to serve the community, build leaders and create a positive culture solidified our decision,” said Cockreham. “We ask our Hunks and Hunkettes to share their personal goals and strive to help each and every one of them achieve those goals. We hope to use our platform to springboard them in their desired direction or promote them to management, allowing us to grow even more.”
Jeff Moss of Wilmington, NC
Wilmington, NC, franchise owner Jeff Moss knows both how to be a leader and how to build them, thanks to his time as a Lieutenant in the United States Army during Operation Desert Storm. The skills he developed in the Army and over the course of a 25-year career in sales, marketing, training and management have made him a great fit for our brand, and our systems and support make us a great franchise for veterans. Moss opened his location on June 11.
“College Hunks’ Vision, Mission and Purpose are consistent with my lifelong quest to lead and develop others. I have made a career of developing and promoting individuals. I intend to be more than a franchise business partner – in the tradition of military service and leadership, I will lead my organization from the front, never asking anyone to do anything I wouldn’t do myself,” said Moss. “I will invest the best of what I have to offer in every single employee, helping them achieve their stated goals so they can truly accomplish their dreams.”
His mission starts with his first employee.
“I am excited about the opportunity to involve our special needs adult daughter in our business,” said Moss. “Her self-esteem and sense of accomplishment in having a daily purpose will give inspiration to all who come in contact with her.”
Eric Dabkowski of Hartford, CT
Eric Dabkowski opened his College Hunks franchise on June 18 in the city of Hartford, CT. Entrepreneurship has been a lifelong ambition of Dabkowski’s, and we’re excited to work with him as he and his team serve clients and grow the business.
“My whole life I’ve always wanted my own business, so this is a dream come true for me,” says Dabkowski. “My goals are to be the go-to business for junk removal and moving services in Hartford, achieve high ratings online and in the community for excellent customer service, and have a great crew that has fun on the job.”
Stephen Abate of Chandler, AZ
Stephen Abate opened College Hunks of Phoenix East Valley in Chandler, AZ, on June 18. Abate developed his exceptional customer service and team-building skills through his experience in the semiconductor industry.
Abate has also demonstrated that his values align with our own through his deep involvement in the community. He’s the Assistant Scout Master of a local Boy Scout Troop and a member of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce and the Tempe Business Professionals group.
“As soon as I saw the logo along with one of the core values of ‘Building Leaders,’ which ties into the Boy Scouts’ goals, I was hooked,” says Abate.
